Sunny Bunny is a gratuity-free hair salon in Newton, MA specializing in lived-in color, gray coverage and blending, blonding, and personalized hair color—all in a warm, intimate space where you can actually relax and be yourself.

Since 2011, we’ve believed there’s a better way to do hair. Our appointments are one-on-one, our pricing is transparent and hourly, and everything you need is included. No tipping. No double booking. No surprise add-ons. Just really great hair and an experience that feels good from beginning to end.

But Sunny Bunny has always been about more than hair.

We’ve created a cozy, inclusive salon where individuality is celebrated and everyone is welcome. Reiki and oracle cards are available for clients who want to bring a little extra relaxation and self-care into their appointment. We call the whole experience Hair Therapy—because sometimes your hair appointment is about a lot more than your hair.

We’re also intentional about the products we use, including Calura PPD-free hair color and brands like Amika and Hairstory.

And we believe a better salon experience should exist for hairstylists, too. Sunny Bunny follows the New Commission Model: gratuity-free and hourly pricing, no retail requirements, no front desk, no double booking, flexible schedules, and unlimited time off.
